Description:
This course provides participants with the essential knowledge and skills to safely work with energized high-voltage, high-energy electric power systems. Covering key principles and procedures, it ensures compliance with international safety standards, including OSHA, NFPA, IEC, IEEE, and EN. Participants will gain expertise in high-voltage electrical safety, safe operation and maintenance techniques, and regulatory compliance. The curriculum includes an in-depth study of HV installations, equipment such as power transformers, circuit breakers, and surge arrestors, as well as motor controllers and protection relays. Additionally, the course covers safety management, emergency planning, de-energized and energized work procedures, and testing and commissioning practices, equipping professionals with the necessary skills to ensure safe and efficient high-voltage operations.
