Description:
Integrity management of onshore and offshore pipelines assumes importance for uninterrupted supply of crude oil, petroleum products and natural gas/LPG to various consumers. The aim of the integrity management is not only to provide uninterrupted supply of oil and natural gas to its consumers but also to maintain safety and integrity of pipelines together with protection of human lives and environment. Pipeline is designed for its optimum performance for a specific period of its life cycle but its performance can be improved beyond its life cycle by developing and implementing an integrity management program. Various statutory regulations from PNGRB and codes and standards by OISD, NACE, ASME, API, DNV, ISO provide guidelines for developing integrity management system for pipelines. This course deals with the necessary integrity management techniques for life extension of cross country onshore and offshore pipelines including process plants station piping.
