Participants will learn to size and design energy storage solutions while exploring the latest advancements and future trends in the field. The curriculum covers electrochemical cell fundamentals, energy and power density analysis, hybrid energy supply systems, and key technologies such as lead-acid and Li-ion batteries, fuel cells, and supercapacitors. Topics include battery pack design, thermal management, state-of-charge (SoC) and state-of-health (SoH) estimation, as well as testing standards and safety considerations. The course also examines large-scale energy storage, flow batteries, and next-generation alternatives beyond Li-ion, equipping professionals with the knowledge to optimize energy storage solutions for various applications.
